Hi, I'm Sam. A graphic designer with over 20 years experience in the field. My passion for design came from creating art for cd covers and DJ's and have since become one the go to designers in that field. While sourcing new clients I have been able to take that distinctive look into the corporate world and given brands exciting fresh looks.
Operating under the name 'Skrilla,' I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with international artists and labels, including G-Unit, Papoose, Remy Ma, Sean Price, and E3UK. This experience has allowed me to develop valuable skills in negotiation, managing deadlines, and handling both label and artist approvals.
I specialize in creating cohesive brand narratives and impactful promotional assets for a variety of platforms, including social media and print. With a proven track record of managing complex design projects from concept through to delivery, I am highly proficient in Photoshop and have a solid working knowledge of Illustrator and InDesign. My expertise is further complemented by a deep understanding of colour theory and graphic design principles. My career goal is to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation in graphic design while staying culturally relevant and driving forward-thinking brand strategies.
In 2006 I was blessed with the opportunity to be featured in the book 'Damn Son Where Did You Find This?: A Book About Us Hiphop Mixtape Cover Art. along with 4 other designers. The book received critical acclaim, selling out its first run and also featuring in the New York Times.
